Visiting Beach Camping

A long standing tradition of many of the Spooners is camping up at San Elijo.
We went up for the afternoon to visit all the campers this year. Although it was a little chilly, we still had a great time.

A few things to note here... 1. She looks ridiculously tiny, but now that she can sit up she is toooo cool for her carseat on it. 2. She just woke up from a nap and was not too sure about where she was. 3. She was giving every passerby the evil stare down, so I took the half smile she gave me as a compliment.

Dylan playing with her baby :)

All bundled up for a nap on the beach

Adventurous John spear fishing... who does that?

William being adorable checking things out

Cousin time!

The Dave Sullins Family came down for Labor Day!
It was fun getting to see them all and hang out. We can't wait until they're back for Christmas.

Kyleen, Taylor, Brooklyn

6 Months... how did that happen?

I truly am stumped as to how it is possible that we have a 6 month old? I feel like I was pregnant yesterday, yet alone having a 6 month old. Kyleen truly is the light of our world these days. She turns any bad mood into a good one- how do you not return her adorable smile?! Her personality continues to emerge daily and we are loving the little person she is becoming. No major new milestones this month, although she has made great strides on perfecting things from last month, like sitting up on her own. She still hates to eat (WAY too busy). We don't go for her checkup until later this week so although I don't have stats for you all, I can confidently say her weight will be in the negative percentile. :) A peanut she still is!

You try being in a bad mood and looking at that face at the same time!

Loving her bath in the sink while in Palm Springs

Is Kyleen actually cuddling?

Such fun in the laundry basket :)

Loving on her crab, a teether's dream!

Still my sleeping beauty (yes, the giraffe's ear is in her mouth)

The whole sign thing is getting increasingly more difficult with each month,
as you can see below.

And we're done.

Hanging with Auntie Cindy

After an amazing 5 1/2 months with my love bug, it is back to work for me :( I am 2 weeks in and I am hoping I have already hit my low point and it will only get easier from here. Needless to say I am enjoying the 3 day weekend with her. Kyleen is SOOO lucky to have Grandmas and Aunties near by to watch her everyday. As you can see from the pics below she is missing me terribly when I am away :)

Just loving my auntie!

She means business when Mickey is on.

Bath Time at Grandma's

Kyleen loves her baths, especially in the yellow duckie at Grandmas.

I think this will be the picture I share with her first boyfriend!

Huh?

These two crack me up!

Daddy's Girl

Loving the remote, just like her daddy!

Spooner Family Reunion

As predicted, this working thing has really gotten in the way of my blogging. I am going to try and play catch up while the little one is napping. Right before going back to work in August, the Spooner Family got together for a little reunion in Palm Springs to celebrate my grandparents 60th wedding anniversary. 'Reunion' may be a bit of a stretch considering we all live in San Diego (with the exception of the Allingtons, and they weren't even there!), but regardless we were all in one spot at the same time. It was a relaxing weekend of just hanging out. Here are a few highlights from the weekend...

Kyleen & her Godmomma

POOL TIME!

I think Kyleen liked eating her bee more than the pool

Nothing cuter! Dylan, from the back side :) and sweet Will

Note the hickey on Bek's shoulder from Casey :)

Eating on the go

Fascinated by Casey sleeping

Pretty Cousins... and one sister

60 years, 7 kids, 19 grandkids, and 5 great-grandkids later!

When did Dylan get so big!?

In the lobby of the hotel... too much fun for these two!
