So Much To Be Thankful For...

It goes without even saying that we feel beyond blessed this year. The gift that God has given us in Kyleen is more than we could have ever imagined. Kyleen's Thanksgiving was pretty nontraditional in that we spent it in Palm Desert. A few spontaneous decisions ended with my family (minus the Tim Spooners) cooking our turkey dinner in a hotel at the Shadow Ridge Marriott. It was so amazingly relaxing to have NOTHING to do but be lazy, hang out with family, drink wine, and eat good food. Kyleen was a riot the whole weekend, having a blast exploring her new surroundings. Our Thanksgiving morning brought an extra treat with the discovery of Kyleen's first tooth... finally!

Tara & Tim's Wedding

Such an amazing Veteran's Day weekend for us! We had soo much celebrating Tara & Tim's wedding. Thank the Lord I had a 4 day weekend, because let me tell you, being a mom and maid of honor is no easy task. It was a whirlwind of a weekend but so much fun. In all the craziness I did a terrible job of taking pics but I did some facebook stalking and stole a few! Congrats to Mr. and Mrs. Hutter! We love you both!

8 Months!

The peanut is officially 8 months. I'm a little behind in posting things but life has been hectic to say the least. We barely squeezed in time for pictures that day because Nov. 12th was the start of her Auntie Tara's wedding weekend! Our love bug is crawling around like crazy, loving finger foods, and squealing at the highest pitch possible.

Such fun in a box... can't wait for Christmas morning!

Some last minute fun in the pool. We went up to Lawrence Welk in Fallbrook with Grandma and Papa Tom. Although unsure at first, she ended up loving splashing in the water!


With literally 2 minutes for pictures, Kyleen was a rockstar. Sat still, looked cute, and we were off to Tara & Tim's rehearsal dinner!

Happy Halloween!

The holidays are here!!! By far, it's my favorite time of year when the anticipation of family time, good food, and special memories keeps me going through the busy days. We had a fun weekend celebrating Kyleen's first Halloween. She was our adorable love bug for Halloween.

On Saturday the 30th, we attempted to participate in the Monster Dash Race at Miramar. But... due to the pouring rain (and a few other complications!) we didn't end up running. But we did get a few shots in the car before :)

Carving Pumpkins!

The Steve and Tom Spooners got together before Halloween for some serious business...pumpkin carving. Although the younger kiddos were not too into any of it, the older kiddos (i.e. Michelle, Sarah) took their task very seriously.

Wild Animal Park

The best part of having passes to places is you don't have to feel guilty stopping by for only an hour or so. This was a quick trip to the Wild Animal Park last weekend. Kyleen loved looking at the animals that she could get closer to, although little Miss Independent just wanted to explore on her own. She is so over this whole 'stroller, being carried' business.
