It goes without even saying that we feel beyond blessed this year. The gift that God has given us in Kyleen is more than we could have ever imagined. Kyleen's Thanksgiving was pretty nontraditional in that we spent it in Palm Desert. A few spontaneous decisions ended with my family (minus the Tim Spooners) cooking our turkey dinner in a hotel at the Shadow Ridge Marriott. It was so amazingly relaxing to have NOTHING to do but be lazy, hang out with family, drink wine, and eat good food. Kyleen was a riot the whole weekend, having a blast exploring her new surroundings. Our Thanksgiving morning brought an extra treat with the discovery of Kyleen's first tooth... finally!
